I guess somethings are different here.

I moved to be nearer to nature, and found myself here in Vancouver! Facing burn-out after 9 years in journalism, I desired to change career tracks. I want my life to mean something. I want my actions to be tangible and purposeful. Somehow I doubt my sitting behind a computer screen editing news stories can bring about change. I guess that’s how it all started. The desire to burn everything to the ground to begin anew. And that was how I found myself in social work and community building.

Vancouver, you’re such a pretty place to call home. Gotta go! The mountains are calling!
